When you create a Mailivate account, we ask for a few details about your workspace. Here is why each field matters.
Business name
Your business name appears as the default sender name on campaigns and transactional emails. It also helps us personalize your workspace and generate a default sending address for your organization.
Business address
We collect your organization's mailing address for two reasons:
- Compliance — Laws such as CAN-SPAM (US) and similar regulations in other countries require a valid physical postal address in marketing emails.
- Billing — When you upgrade to a paid plan, your address is used on invoices and tax documents.
Trial users can add their address later, before the first campaign send or when subscribing to a paid plan.
Email verification
We send a 6-digit code to your email address to confirm you own the account. Verified email:
- Protects your account from unauthorized access
- Ensures password resets and billing notices reach you
- Is required before you can access the Mailivate dashboard
If you did not receive the code, use Resend verification code on the verification screen.
What happens next
After onboarding you can create lists, import subscribers, and explore the app. Paid plans and campaign sending may require a complete business address and verified email.
